When communities go digital!

Jalios was a partner of the Interconnected! Let's take this opportunity to look back at the position of the leading French publisher of Digital Workplace in the process of digitizing local authorities.

On 12 and 13 February at the Lyon City Hall, the Interconnected Forum was held where local authorities met to exchange and share best practices for a successful digital transformation.

Public Service and Digital

As a reminder, a few years ago, in response to changes in society, the government wanted to reorganise the public service. To this end, it set up the Public Action Programme 2022, the main objectives of which were to improve the quality of the service provided to users and to modernize the working environment for staff.

As a result of this nationwide project, local authorities, like any other public body, must take part in the digital transformation phenomenon and restructure their organisational methods. This is where Jalios comes in.

In a study carried out alongside MARKESS by exaegis in 2018, it was found that 85% of local authority decision-makers consider the notion of commitment by administrations to improve the experience of their employees to be essential. From this perspective, this study has highlighted the 4 main issues:

• Favouring transversal collaboration and putting an end to the organization in silos
• Simplify work processes by being more flexible and mobile
• Facilitating the daily life of employees by automating processes
• Develop the skills of your agents and save time by capitalizing on their knowledge
  
  

The Interconnected

In this desire to support territories, the Innovative Territories Network was created to encourage the dissemination of innovative uses and the sharing of good practices between elected officials and decision-makers from different French local authorities.

Aware of the challenges of digital transformation, it was obvious for Jalios to become a partner of the Network and to be as close as possible to the needs of administrations.

The Forum des Interconnectés is two days entirely dedicated to digital transformation in our public administrations. This year, the main topics covered were as follows :

• The organization and development of the territory
• Transforming services for a simplified daily life
• Accompanying fellow citizens
• The SMART city

This event, involving both users and agents, bears witness to the digital future of local authorities, which is aiming for 100% dematerialized services by 2022. It then becomes essential to pass on to tomorrow's users the best practices for successful digitisation.
