What does this module offer?
The module offers a simple and intuitive interface for publishing flash info, as well as a display template with pagination to highlight them in a portal.
The flash info allows you to define in 3 steps:
- Message with rich text editing and multimedia content
- Level of importance (information, warning, alert)
- Date of publication
- Expiry date (specific date or after a certain period of time)
- Audience (targeted or generic)
- Option to be marked as read
Three levels of importance: Information, Alert and Warning
The info flash can be marked as read by the user, and in this case, it no longer appears for this user, but remains visible to others. For very important messages, the author of the flash info can choose that it will not be hidden.
When displaying the news flashes, you can:
- Set up a pagination
- Edit news flashes (with appropriate rights)
- Publish new news flashes (with appropriate rights)
Just like for articles, blog posts, documents you can:
- Recommend the reading of a news flash to whomever you want on your platform
- Manage consultation rights
- Go through a validation workflow before publication
- Multi-categorize flash news
- Find old news flashes using the search engine
- Create new minor or major versions of your flash info

Visibility and relevance of information
The news flashes are highlighted on the home page, with a different color depending on the level of importance. They are clearly differentiated from other publications on the site (comm articles, documents, etc.).
They are only displayed if the user is in the target. Once marked as read, an info flash will no longer be displayed for the connected user.
Ease of publication
The publishing interface is simple and intuitive. A user with the appropriate contribution rights can publish a flash info directly from the home page.
