Jalios at the Cybersecurity & Trusted Cloud Summer University: what you need to remember

Le 19 septembre, Jalios était présent à la 9ᵉ édition des Universités d'été de la cybersécurité .

This 9ᵉ edition, which brought together more than 60 exhibitors, was an opportunity for cybersecurity players to showcase their expertise in the service of organisations for whom security is becoming one of the most priority issues of the moment.

We take a look back at the event with Xavier Masia, Director of Operations and Ronan Kerdudou, Cloud Architect at Jalios, who were present and manned the Jalios stand. They remind us of the essential role and support that Jalios and its Digital Workplace solution can play in the implementation of any security strategy.

UECC

Xavier, what were the highlights of this year's event and why was Jalios present?

The Summer Schools on Cybersecurity and the Trusted Cloud are the only showcase dedicated to sovereign cybersecurity solutions. Their main aim is to promote the growth of sovereign digital solutions in France and Europe, solutions that must be responsible, more resilient and protective of users' privacy.

From this year onwards, and in the words of Jean-Noël de Galzain, Chairman of Hexatrust, the event aims more specifically to be "the showcase for sovereign Cyber, Cloud and Digital Workplace solutions", which clearly demonstrates the relevance of the presence of Jalios, 1ᵉʳ publisher on the French Intranet and Digital Workplace market.

For several years now, we have been supporting numerous customers with very high security challenges, public bodies such as DINUM, AMF, Caisse des Dépôts, etc. but also private players, particularly in the banking, healthcare and industrial sectors.

Another highlight of this year's event, which underlines the crucial importance of close collaboration between technology players and the public sector, was opened by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister Delegate for the Digital Transition and Telecommunications.

Xavier, what do you remember about this event, both as a participant and as an exhibitor?

During this all-day event, participants were able to discover best practices and the best sovereign digital solutions at round tables, plenary sessions and on exhibitors' stands.

We had a large number of visitors to the Jalios stand, and we were delighted to showcase the Jalios Digital Workplace, which is listed in the Gouv Tech catalogue, and whose JPlatform 10SP4 platform was the first collaborative solution to be awarded CSPN certification by the ANSSI.

There was also a great deal of interest in Jalios' latest innovation, JNLP, which integrates the uses of generative Artificial Intelligence into the Digital Workplace. In particular, because it raises the issue of data security and sovereignty. Organisations want to retain control of their data, while benefiting from the time savings made possible by generative AI. JNLP meets these challenges through the very architecture of the Jalios Digital Workplace.

The event also enabled us to strengthen and create new synergies between security players, and this dynamic is entirely consistent with our conviction at Jalios to move forward together and develop a strong, long-term ecosystem.

Ronan, in what way is the Digital Workplace an essential lever for corporate security?

You might think that digital security is the sole responsibility of the State, but it is everyone's business. It is part of our daily lives, whether in our personal or professional dealings. Digital protection is essential for the smooth running and continuity of public and private organisations, particularly in the healthcare sector.

The decision to use a Digital Workplace structures an organisation's security policy and acts as a driver for governance.

By its very nature, the Digital Workplace should make it possible to structure an organisation's security.

In any case, this is Jalios' vision, and the architecture of the Jalios Digital Workplace has been designed and continues to evolve along these lines, to enable organisations' security policies to be strengthened:

  • Through centralisation: by standardising the tools used and limiting "Shadow IT", with unified account management and "Red Button" procedures, the company's data is kept under control and it is easier to maintain security.
  • Through an architecture of services: the Digital Workplace allows freedom of choice in terms of security depending on the services, it also integrates office tools, email, calendar, EDM, videoconferencing, translation, generative AI, geo-mapping, etc. And it can be used in Cloud (or On-Premise) mode.
  • The Digital Workplace also provides application security: with access control and appropriate levels of administration, thanks to a secure EDM and compartmentalized communities. It's also possible to produce crisis communications (news flashes) and control business processes (dematerialization, new arrival or departure processes).
