- The University of Strasbourg has 65,000 users, with a wide variety of profiles: students, administrative staff, research professors and guests.
- The university wanted to modernise its digital work environment dating from 2009 for a collaborative platform focused on users, with a user service logic and a strong social dimension.
Challenge: a user-centred collaborative platform
The key issue in determining the needs and choice of this new collaborative platform was to allow access to a digital working environment for all these profiles, with different rights, using profiled information and tools.
We decided to change the system to a user service approach. The search engine works really well, you can find all the information you need in one click: you don't have to worry about whether it's managed in the HR or IT file.

ERNEST: new Digital and Social Working Environment
ERNEST, the Digital and Social Work Environment of the University of Strasbourg, is a true Digital Workplace, allowing information to be shared in a sustainable manner thanks to a streamlined tree structure, a high-performance cross-disciplinary search engine and a profiled application launcher.
It is a true vertical and horizontal internal communication tool, providing information and news profiled by a network of 160 contributors.
It is also a social network with collaborative spaces and transversal communities and a Blended and Digital Learning tool.
