This year again, it is with great pleasure that Jalios participated in the Digital Change event, on 22 and 23 January 2019, in Nantes.
This event reflects the dynamism of a region and its digital transition. Organized by the API agency, the ADN Ouest association, the CCIs and Exponantes, the event brought together more than 4,000 managers at the Parc des expositions de la Beaujoire.
Review of the event with Philippe Charron, Sales Manager Jalios Grand Ouest & centre
The origin of Digital Change is to offer SMEs a space to better understand their challenges around Digital. The richness of this event is to mix content (expert meetings, pitchs, workshops, conferences) with meetings on the stands with the region's digital players. Digital at your fingertips, no need to go to San Francisco! Beyond being a show around the Digital, Digital Change offers a lot of feedback, comprehension workshops and in 2019 allowed us to hear from top French bosses on their vision of the subject. The success of this edition was undoubtedly driven by the quality of all the speakers whose presentations were a great success.
The specificity of this event is that this initiative is led by public, private and associative actors who are at the crossroads of these issues: the CCI to make the link with companies, Exponantes for its logistics, ADN Ouest which gathers more than 500 members in Brittany and Pays de la Loire and the API Agency which has been monitoring economic activity in these territories for more than 25 years.
Jalios has been present at Digital Change since its inception, I started as an expert meeting in year 1, then since 2017 we have been present on a stand. This seemed obvious to us: we are present through our customers with nearly 50 customers. We can mention Maisons du Monde, the Bouhyer Group, Meubles Gautier, the Brittany Region, Arkea, Brittany Ferries, Duff, Henaff and recently Saint-Nazaire and Nantes Métropole. As we can see, the diversity of our customers in this region is symptomatic of the transversal nature of our offer.
Digital Change brings energy to a historical region for Jalios. Since 2004, the Loire-Atlantique Departmental Council has trusted Jalios, which means that it was one of the first customers and still is. It deploys new versions and new uses to meet the expectations of the Department's agents and audiences.
On the other hand, our ecosystem of partners is particularly dynamic in the region, such as ASI, CGI, Digiwin, Keyrus, Micropole, Orange, for example, who are involved in Jalios projects. Moreover, 3 of them had a stand at the Digital Change, a sign of the consistency of our positioning at the Digital Change. The region is therefore also a centre of Jalios expertise centres and this is not finished, we will announce a next partner in the coming months with a consulting and deployment approach.
Indeed, I came back to Nantes at the end of 1999 to create an ESN and I saw a dynamic develop around the Digital that impressed me. Development of the sector, the Canteen, ADN Ouest, the successes of Lengow, iAdvize, Akeneo, Allovoisins, or EP for example. Francky Trichet at the town hall of Nantes, the Nantes Digital Week, the Web2days, the seminars and workshops ADN Ouest, Devfest and I probably forget some!
It is a dynamic ecosystem where reputation is key. This reputation has been one of the strong drivers of Jalios' growth: because our customers love us, they let people know about us. Of course the product plays an essential role in this relationship, but the fact of being a French publisher, defender of the sector (training, research, employment) since its origin, carrying strong values and keeping a close relationship with its ecosystem, trust is at its highest.
The digital challenges are becoming more and more important for the region's companies. Beyond productivity gains, they must offer an opportunity for all to improve the experience of employees in their companies, to build their loyalty and make them more proactive. Jalios invests in the region by having employees based in Nantes and Rennes, and contributes to the development of Digital in organizations in the sector: to provide such a platform both in large organizations such as Nantes Métropole and SMIs such as Pilote SA, to meet these challenges.
Finally, the region is witnessing the birth of beautiful start-ups such as Klaxoon (Rennes) or A2JV (Nantes). One of the challenges for companies in the region is to be able to take advantage of all this dynamism. With JPlatform's service-oriented vision, Jalios brings an element of answer: an open solution, notably with an OpenAPI based on Restlet (another nugget from Nantes!) to allow the integration of its innovative services. Our added value is to facilitate the use of market tools by giving meaning and efficiency to those who use us. Beyond that, we can build close and lasting relationships around us.
Thank you Philippe, and once again congratulations to the organizers and see you next year for a new edition of Digital Change!
