Intranet / Extranet Portal

The need

Two factors were crucial:
  • The desire of senior management to have an intranet tool to manage internal information (publication of information, centralization of papers and resources for the officers.
  • Decentralization of the State, which would be by 2008 the number of staff from 1000 to 3000.
He needed a tool open and flexible, which can withstand heavy loads. There had previously done in-house tool that managed some features but does not meet the expectations of users and the CIO.

The solution

The IT department worked in collaboration with the upstream direction of communication to unite the various departments and so recencer everyone's needs: how to organize the site, items, cutting, etc. ...
The result of the audit has identified 15 priorities including:
  • technology (java, xml)
  • The opening of the tool: it needed a solution and non-proprietary modular
  • Additional features for the scalability of the tool (publication, documentation, forums, including the processing of validations by the workflow)
  • Accompaniment in the implementation of the solution and training
  • The possibility of moving towards a collaborative space.
Of the 10 initial proposals, the General Council sélectionnétrois companies including Jalios then distanced itself from its competitors on the various issues discussed.

"Nothing to say, competent persons and available."

"A handy, fast and scalable, which will allow us to evolve in our future projects. It does not feel restrained with a tool like Jalios JCMS."
